On the 11th of November, 43 representatives from Landcare networks from within the new South East Local Land Services (LLS) region gathered to meet and talk about roles and opportunities.
The workshop was positive and focussed on opportunities for networks to establish effective communication and partnerships with LLS. It was clear that networks throughout the region shared similar roles and functions, mostly around communication, support and making good use of available resources, and that regional networks were important in their ability to work at a larger scale, whether for projects or advocacy. It was deemed essential that Landcare in the South East LLS region have one voice for communications with LLS and that a working group would form to provide some options for this.
